Carol Beals

Funeral service for Carol J. Beals, 80, Anoka, took place July 19 at First Congregational Church of Anoka. Revs. Christopher and Sharon Fazel officiated.

Beals died July 13 in Coon Rapids. She was born June 27, 1927 in Iowa Falls, Iowa, to Glenn and Ruby Smith. She worked for Minneapolis Moline, then 20 years for Control Data before working part-time for Anoka County from 1987 to 1997.

She is survived by her sons, David, Dale and Steven; and nieces, nephews and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Ruby; husband, Charles (Chuck); and sister, Jean.

Pallbearers were David, Dale and Steven Beals, Linnell Hills, Gary Kryer and Tracy Ball.

Interment was at Sunset Memorial Park, Arrangements were by Gearhart Anoka Funeral Home.


Rudolph Beck

Funeral service for Rudolph T. Beck, 77, Coon Rapids, took place July 23 at Faith Lutheran Church, Coon Rapids.

Beck died July 10. He was a retired 37-year employee at Honeywell.

He is survived by his wife, Lillian; son, Ted; daughters, Julie (Scott) Kimbler, Karen (Paul) Verkennis, Susan (Larry) Cooley and Mary (David) Carlson; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Maudine (Jerry) Stevens and Maxine (Loren) Bradley; sister-in-law, Lucille; special cousin, Bill (Linda) Beck; many nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles; and nephew, Thor Spangrud.

Interment was private. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.


Adeline Beckman

Funeral service for Adeline Anna Beckman, 86, Anoka, will take place today (Friday, July 20), 11 a.m., at Grace Lutheran Church. Rev. Mark Hellmann will officiate.

Beckman died July 14 at N.C. Little Hospice, Edina. She was born May 30, 1921 in Avoca to John Emil and Emma Wilhelmine (Von Holdt) Lehman Sr. She was retired from Sears.

She is survived by her son, Edwin Jr. (Kathy); daughter, Carol Ann (Chuck) Saher; grandchildren, Marietta (Rick) McLeod, Jason and Jacalyn Beckman; great-grandchildren, Kelly, Thomas and Megan McLeod, Elizabeth and Cameron Beckman, Montana and Marina Cochran; and brother, Leon (Bonnie) Lehman.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Sr.; and son, Dennis.

Pallbearers are Marietta, Kelly, Thomas and Megan McLeod and Jason and Jacalyn Beckman. Honorary pallbearers are Elizabeth and Cameron Beckman and Montana and Marina Cochran.

Interment will be at Clear Lake Cemetery, Clear Lake. Arrangements are by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.


Cleo Boyum

Funeral service for Cleo Marie Boyum, 93, Champlin, formerly of Anoka, took place July 16 at Zion Lutheran Church, Anoka. Rev. Mark Tiede officiated.

Boyum died July 13 at North Memorial Residential Hospice, Brooklyn Park. She was born March 21, 1914 in Frost to Theo S., and Signey (Henning) Boler and was a retired legal secretary.

She is survived by her children, Harold (Nancy) Boyum, Carl Rohrer, Becky (Alan) Brass, Linda (Mark) Nelson and Susan (Stephen) Spangenberg; grandchildren, Amy (Eric) Carlson, Mark (Sarah) Boyum, Blake (Katherine Baardseth) Rohrer, Rachel (Ethan Glass) Brass, Jennifer Brass, Carrie (Matt) Sundberg, Amanda Nelson, Michael (LesLee Bickford) Spangenberg, Daniel and James Spangenberg; great-grandchildren, Emily and Kirk Carlson, Nicholas Boyum, Kristina and Sigrid Rohrer, Lucia Sundberg; brother, Wilbur (Dorothy) Boler; and sister, Ruth Zimdars.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey; and grandson, Kirk Boyum.

Interment was at Arendahl Cemetery, Peterson. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.


Richard Esperum

Memorial visitation for Richard G. Esperum, 63, Blaine, took place July 16 at Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.

He is survived by his sisters, Gladys Anderson, Irene (Harold) Wendt, Alice Larson, Lois (Ray) Ross; brothers, Marlin (Bev), Dennis (Sandi), Jim (Stephanie) and George; many nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Karon; son, Dennis; parents, George and Lucille; and brothers, Gordon, Kenneth, Robert and Larry.

Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.


Carmon Gregerson

Memorial service for Carmon Martin Gregerson, 82, Blaine, took place July 14 at St. Timothy's Catholic Church, Blaine. Rev. Chuck Brambilla officiated.

Gregerson died July 9. He was born July 16, 1924 in Pennington to Anna (Lone) and Ingval Gregerson. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was employed by the Burlington-Northern Railroad for 35 years, retiring in 1984. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Stars and American Legion, a volunteer van driver for the Blaine Senior Center and Blaine's Senior King 1998-99.

He is survived by his wife, Benita; daughters, Cheryl (Ken) Plant of Blaine, Cindy (Skip) Zacher of Brainerd; son, Tom (Charlotte) Gregerson of Grand Forks, N.D.; grandchildren, Karen (Mark) Jenkins, Jeni (David) Schwegman, Joel (Rachelle) Zacher, Leah Zacher and Kendra Plant; great-grandchildren, Eric and Connor Jenkins and Taylor Zacher; brother, Leo (Dorothy); sisters, Hildur (Bryce) Lamon, Edna (Vaughn) Best, Babe (Louie) Brand; and nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends.

Interment was at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls. Arrangements were by Methven-Taylor Funeral Homes, Blaine.


Dr. David Hanson

Celebration service for Dr. David G. Hanson, 75, Spring Lake Park, took place July 19 at Christ Lutheran Church, Blaine.

Hanson died July 15. He was born June 5, 1935. He was retired after 36 years as an electrical engineer at Lockheed Martin and was past president of Tower Days.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy; daughters, Linda (Bill) Buhl, Bonnie (Tony) Neitzer, Julie (Todd) Thiel and Kari Hanson; six grandchildren; brother, Howard (Marie); and sisters, Carol Koosmann and Ruth (Lloyd) Rens.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Emil and Ragna Hanson of Ortonville; brother, Dr. Edgar Hanson; and sister, Joyce Knopff.

Interment was private. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.


Vera Larson

Graveside service for Vera M. Larson, 96, Coon Rapids, took place July 12 at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

Larson is survived by daughter, Benita Satzinger; grandsons, Butch Satzinger and Jeff (Debra) Satzinger; and great-grandsons, Matt, Wes and Wade.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; and son-in-law, Siegfried Satzinger.

Interment was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.


Landol Locher

Funeral service for Landol John Locher, 76, Ramsey, took place July 13 at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, Anoka. Rev. Terry Beeson officiated.

Locher died July 8 at Lake Ridge Rehabilitation and Specialty Care, Roseville. He was born Feb. 2, 1931 in Austin to Ray and Regina (Weiss) Locher. He practiced law for over 50 years and was a retired senior partner with the Babcock, Locher, Neilson and Mannella law firm in Anoka and active in the Anoka Lions Club.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia; children, Joleen (Don) Kotoski, Brenda Lee Locher (Pete McLean), Lynne (Mark) Altenburg, Landy Locher, Victoria Belisle and Craig Locher; grandchildren, Kali, Weston, Rebecca, Jennifer, Katherine, John, Daniel, Arielle, Jeremy, Justin, Trevor, Josh and Alyssa; brothers, John (Virginia) and Ray (Linda) Locher; sisters, Catherine (Duane) Tollefson, Dorothy (Robert) Lukes and Maureen (Michael) Bibus; many nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Regina Locher; and sisters, Carol Schaefer and Susan Bjornson.

Pallbearers were Arielle and Daniel Altenburg, Jeremy and Justin Belisle, Kali and Weston Kotoski and Craig and Landy Locher.

Interment was at Calvary Cemetery, Anoka. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.


Clarence Olson

Private family service took place for Clarence R. Olson, 89, St. Paul.

Olson died July 12. He was born May 31, 1918 and was a retired factory worker.

He is survived by his daughters, Shirley (Bob) Beaudoin, Karen (Jerry) Bridgeman; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; sister, Pearl; and brother, Alfred.

Hew was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn; special friend, Alma Fabio; and three sisters.

Interment was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
