A 57-year-old Blaine man was killed in a car crash on northbound Highway 65 when another driver drove through a stop sign on westbound 221st Avenue in East Bethel around 5:15 a.m. Feb. 5.

The victim of the accident was Arlin Landmark. He was the passenger in a 2004 Chevy Silverado driven by 60-year-old Ramsey man Arnold Iliff, 60. The driver of the 2005 Ford Super Duty vehicle that ran through the stop sign was 29-year-old Bethel man Robert Foster. Foster had no apparent injuries. Iliff had a minor injury, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

The highway patrol believes heavy fog played a role in the accident. Everybody was wearing their seat belts and no alcohol was involved.
