Five men were robbed at gunpoint by three masked men at a Coon Rapids residence late Thursday night (June 23).
According to the Coon Rapids Police report, five men, all in their 20s, were standing in an open garage at a home on the 9300 block of Foley Boulevard shortly after 11:30 p.m. when three black males wearing dark clothing and ski masks confronted them, one of them armed with a handgun.
The victims were ordered into a bedroom inside the residence, where two of the suspects took two television sets, two XBoxes, two computer monitors, a desktop computer and four cell phones, while the third suspect held the gun on the victims.
After the suspects had left, one of the victims found that his car, a 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix, had been stolen from the driveway of the home, the police report states.
At the request of police, Anoka County Central Communications tried pinging the stolen cell phones and located one in the area of 9800 Redwood St. N.W.
Police searched the area and found the car unoccupied at 102nd and Redwood.
One of the victims was kicked in the face during the robbery, but declined medical attention.
