Students in the Admission Possible program at Coon Rapids High School will be making a difference tomorrow (Saturday, Nov. 5).
They will be walking the neighborhoods near the high school trick-or-canning from 9 to 11 a.m. as part of Make a Difference Day.
This is the third year that the Admission Possible program has operated at Coon Rapids High School and the third year that the students have gone trick-or-can on Make a Difference Day.
There will be some 30 juniors and another 30 seniors from the program taking part in the project, meeting at the high school around 8:15 a.m.
They will return to the high school with the bags of canned goods they have collected to load the food into vehicles for a drive to the Minneapolis Sports Center.
“After all the work is done, there will be a celebration at the Minneapolis Sports Center with food, games and guest speakers,” said Paul McDivitt, communications, Admission Possible Twin Cities.
Admission Possible provides after-school coaching for students from low income families to make college admission and success possible for them.
