The Pantherettes, under the direction of first year winter season coach Jennifer Blaido, performed to the song “Angels on the Moon” for jazz and “One Night” in high kick which finished second in the event.

Heading into the conference finals, Spring Lake Park had to be a favorite after sweeping the previous three conference meets along  with two high kick wins.

One difference Blaido brought into this season was including all of the team members on the high kick team, instead of having specific dancers for each discipline.

“In order to work on improvement we chose to place all of our JV and varsity jazz members on our varsity kick team,” she said.

Captains for this season include Mckaela Bormann, Lorna Lastovich, Sapphire Spiralke and Lindsay Trappen and head to the Wayzata  Invitational  Jan. 14.
