Funeral service for Melvin E. Audette, 87, Minneapolis, took place Jan. 12 at Gearhart Funeral Home, Coon Rapids.

Audette died Jan. 7 in Hopkins. He was born Aug. 31, 1924 in Minneapolis.

Interment was at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Gearhart Funeral Home.

 

Isabell Bandzak

Funeral service for Isabell A. Bandzak, 81, Lino Lakes, took place Jan. 17 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Circle Pines.

Bandzak died Jan. 12. She was born Nov. 26, 1930 in Brook Park.

Interment was at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Gearhart Funeral Home, Coon Rapids.

 

Charles Goodwin

Charles Adair Goodwin, formerly of Anoka, died Jan. 8 in Seattle, Wash. He was born June 2, 1915 in Minneapolis and moved to Anoka in 1918.

He is survived by his brothers, Raymond, Richard and William; daughters, Patricia Sell and Joyce Peterson; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Eva Attleson Goodwin; parents, Charles A. Goodwin and Daisy D. Smith; sisters, Leona Small and Marjorie Streva; and brothers, Phillip, Aaron and Donald.

 

Elaine Haag

Memorial service for Elaine Marie (Mruz) Haag, 52, Coon Rapids, will take place tomorrow (Saturday, Jan. 21), 11 a.m., at Washburn-McReavy Glen Haven Chapel, Crystal, with visitation one hour earlier.

Haag died Jan. 5.

She is survived by her parents, Henry and Irene Mruz; brothers, Steve Mruz (Karen), Joe Mruz (Jeanette); sisters, Laurie Bappe and Patty Metzger (Tom); nieces and nephews, Andy, Tony, Josh, Matt, Jalyn, Nick, Renae and Jake; and many other relatives and special friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry A. Haag.

Arrangements are by Washburn-McReavy Glen Haven Chapel.

 

Mary Marsolek

Funeral service for Mary Tammi Marsolek, 73, Dayton, took place Jan. 19 at Zion Lutheran Church, Anoka. Rev. Sue Wallager officiated.

Marsolek died Jan. 14 at Mercy Hospital. She was born Sept. 22, 1938 in Helsinki, Finland, to Wilho and Inga Else (Sandell) Tammi and was a retired injection mold operator at Thermo Serv.

She is survived by her children, Pamela (John) Deitsch, Kevin Marsolek and Michelle (Scott) Roman; grandchildren, Christopher (Brooke) Deitsch, Nicholle (Ruben) Becerra, Derek Deitsch, Ryan Marsolek, Zachary Roman and Megan Marsolek; twin sister, Myra (Martin) Johnson; sister, Anneli McDowell; brothers, Jussi (Marilynn) and Tom (Marsha) Tammi; and extended family and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alphonse; great-grandson, Andres Becerra; brother, Raimo Tammi; and parents, Wilho and Else Tammi.

Interment was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.

 

Donald Melgren

Funeral service for Donald C. Melgren, 77, Champlin, took place Jan. 11 at Methven-Taylor Funeral Home, Anoka. Rev. Al Backmann officiated.

He is survived by his daughters, Tammy Loeffler and Victoria Radmmacher; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Loretta of California; and brothers, LaVerne and Earl, both of California.

He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Ronald.

Interment was at Poplar Lake Cemetery, near Fosston. Arrangements were by Methven-Taylor Funeral Home Anoka Chapel.

 

Floyd Meyer

Funeral service for Floyd C. Meyer, 88, Tucson, Ariz., took place Jan. 14 at Central Baptist Church, St. Paul.

Meyer died Jan. 6 at LaRosa Care Center, Tucson. He was born March 9, 1923 in Beatrice, Neb.

He is survived by his daughters, Nancy (Dave) Healy of St. Paul, Jane (Tim) Hubbard of Tucson, Ariz., Carol (Doug) Sokolowski of Gurnee, Ill., Colleen (Jake) Niccum of Tucson, Lois (Carmelo) Bruno of Pleasant Prairie, Wis., and Joyce (David) Olson of St. Michael; 16 grandchildren; and sister, Dolores Meyer Eckstrom of Marysville, Wash.

Interment was at Sunset Cemetery, Minneapolis. Arrangements were by Sunset Funeral Chapel, Minneapolis.

 

William Muller 

Funeral service for William G. (Bill) Muller, 69, Coon Rapids, took place Jan. 14 at Epiphany Catholic Church, Coon Rapids.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; sons, Bill (Dorie) and Matthew (Amy); daughters, Suzanne (Thomas) Lewis and Gretchen (Daniel) Thibault; and 24 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Marion and Helen; and grandson, Michael.

Interment was at Epiphany Cemetery, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Coon Rapids Chapel.

 

Audrey Ott

Memorial service for Audrey E. (DeGidio) Ott, 86, Blaine, took place Jan. 17 at Washburn-McReavy Coon Rapids Chapel.

She is survived by her husband, Richard H. Ott; children, Sandra L. Pietruszewski (David), Carol A. Langseth (Alan), Michael R. Ott (Kim), Paul G. Ott, Kevin A. Ott and Richard H. Ott Jr. (Ann); 11 grandchildren; one great-grandson; and nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Marge and Mabel.

Lucille Peterson

Memorial service for Lucille J. Peterson, 94, Isanti, will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 19 at St. Francis United Methodist Church.

Peterson died Jan. 12 at GracePointe Crossing Gables East.

She is survived by her daughter, Diane (Tom) Beck; daughter-in-law, Cora Peterson; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arlo; and son, Elroy.

Lester Petry

Funeral service for Lester H. Petry, Ham Lake, took place Jan. 19 at Methven-Taylor Funeral Home, Blaine. Rev. Al Backmann officiated.

Petry was a retired 27-year employee of Cornelius Company.

He is survived by his wife, Marlys; children, Kevin, Colleen (Harry) Johnson; granddaughters, Jessica and Tanya; and nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings; son, Lester Jr.; and daughter, Pamela.

Pallbearers were Gerald Kowalzek, Jack Gebhart, Rich Dietrich and Bill Eggerth. Honorary pallbearers were Harry Johnson and Jason Strehlow.

Interment was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Arrangements were by Methven-Taylor Funeral Home, Blaine Chapel.

Funeral service for Francis V. Stroot, 85, Coon Rapids, took place Jan. 12 at Church of the Epiphany, Coon Rapids.

He is survived by his wife, Gladyce; daughter, Pamela Scott; sons, Gene (Wanda), Frank (Lauri) and Todd; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers; two sisters; and other relatives and friends.

Interment was at Epiphany Cemetery, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Coon Rapids Chapel.

 

Dorothy Westerheim

Memorial service for Dorothy G. Westerheim, 91, Anoka, took place Jan. 14 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Brighton.

Westerheim died Jan. 1.

She is survived by her husband, Glenn; son, Steve (Sherrie); grandchildren, Robert Wood and Dustin Westerheim; sisters, Lorraine Shultz, Mary Sanders and Doris Stensvad; brother, Jim (Dorothy) Brazil; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph “Joe” and Margaret Brazil; and brother, Joseph “Bud” Brazil.

Interment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are by Washburn-McReavy Coon Rapids Chapel.
