Memorial service for Marcia A. Austin, 63, Coon Rapids, took place March 3 at Kozlak-Radulovich Blaine Chapel.

Austin died Feb. 27. She was born Dec. 9, 1948 in Duluth.

Arrangements were by Kozlak-Radulovich Blaine Chapel.

 

James Breeggemann

Funeral service for James W. Breeggemann, 78, Coon Rapids, took place March 7 at Methven-Taylor Funeral Home, Anoka. Chaplain Sherree Lane officiated.

Breeggemann was one of the founding members of the Inver Grove Heights Volunteer Fire Department.

He is survived by his wife, Marlys; children, Debra (Steve) Czeck, Brad (Sharon), Craig; grandchildren, Lee, Kathleen, Michelle, Kirsten; and siblings, Don, Bill, Pat and Lois.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Dorothy.

Interment was at Forest Hill Cemetery in Anoka. Arrangements were by Methven-Taylor Funeral Homes Anoka Chapel.

 

James Corrigan

Funeral service for Sgt. James R. Corrigan, 50, Minneapolis, took place March 4 at Washburn-McReavy Coon Rapids Chapel.

He is survived by his wife, Jolie; children, Sonja and Lucie; mother, Joyce; siblings, Ann (Jerry) Boyle and Patrick Corrigan; many nieces and nephews; and many relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Steve.

Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Coon Rapids Chapel.

 

Robert Dusan

Graveside services for Robert Donald Dusan, 87, Taylors Falls, took place March 5 at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Rev. Clifton Hanson officiated.

Dusan died Feb. 23 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul. He was born Dec. 14, 1924 in Boise, Idaho, to Minnie (Malmstrom) and Robert B. Dusan. He served in the Army during World War II.

He is survived by his wife, Julieanne Lieder of Taylors Falls; children, Donald Dusan and Teri of Maple Grove, Joseph Dusan of Minneapolis, Patti Dusan and Mickie of St. Francis, William Dusan of Maple Grove, Lori Dusan of Isanti; grandchildren, Debra (Jason) Binczik, Celia and Kyle Tasler, Korrie and Jerimiah Johnson and Jessie Dusan; sister, Joyce (Larry) Heavrin of Emmett, Idaho; and many other relatives and friends.

Arrangements were by Strike Funeral Home–Isanti Chapel.

 

Joanne Fox

Funeral service for Joanne E. Fox, 73, Coon Rapids, will take place at 11 a.m. tomorrow (Saturday, March 10) at Faith Lutheran Church, Coon Rapids, with visitation one hour prior to service. Rev. Kevin Doely will officiate.

Fox died March 4 at Our Lady of Peace Home in St. Paul.

She is survived by husband, Jim; sons, Scott (Diane) of Lino Lakes and Bruce (Pam) of Indianapolis, Ind,; grandchildren, Kyle, Kevin, Irena, Lydia and Alaina; brothers, Edward (Virginia) of Seattle, Wash., Richard (Edith) of Dalles, Ore., David (Beverly) of Trimont and Robert of Gary; sister, Peggy Kaldahl of St. Francis; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Pearl Pontow; brothers, Clarence and Ralph; and sisters, Donna and Ruth.

Richard Gazelka

Memorial service for Richard W. Gazelka, 57, Coon Rapids, will take place today (Friday, March 9), 2 p.m., at Washburn-McReavy Coon Rapids Chapel.

Gazelka died March 3.

He is survived by his daughters, Erin Gazelka, Emily (Justin) Beise and Jenna (Greg) Innes; partner, John Menez; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Coon Rapids Chapel.

 

Roger Hedberg

Memorial service for Roger Lyle Hedberg, 84, took place March 5 at Edinbrook Church, Brooklyn Park.

Hedberg died Feb. 27.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; daughters, Linda, Karen (David); son, Steve (Nancy); twin brother, Robert (Arleen); grandchildren, Eric, Tim, Thomas, Nathanael, Kellie and Emma; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Ragnhild; and sister, Roseanne.

Interment was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Coon Rapids Chapel.

 

Steve Lobeck

Memorial service for Steve M. Lobeck will take place today (Friday, March 9), 11 a.m., at Gearhart Funeral Home, Coon Rapids.

Lobeck died March 4.

He is survived by his wife, Connie; children, Jason (Barb) and Heather (Ray) Beyer; grandchildren, Christopher, Trent and Haley; and many relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joanne and Lloud.

Interment will be at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Arrangements are by Gearhart Funeral Home, Coon Rapids.

 

Pedro Montijo

Funeral service for Pedro Montijo, 74, Jayuya, Puerto Rico, formerly of Minneapolis, took place March 6 at Church of St. Patrick, Oak Grove. Rev. David Blume officiated

Montijo died March 2. He was born June 19, 1937 in Jayuya, Puerto Rico. He was a diesel mechanic, a hydraulic machinist and once retired, worked on his coffee farm.

He is survived by his daughters, Laura (Tom) Porter, Sandy (David) Fisk, Lisa (Tim) Fortuna; sons, Steve Robinson, Bill Robinson, Pete Sabedra; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; mother, Francisca Roserio-Montijo; four sisters; and many other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Cristoba Montijo; and brother, Miguel Montijo.

Pallbearers were Tom and Michael Porter, Bill and Steve Robinson, Luis Angel Rios and Tim Fortuna.

Interment was at St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Arrangements were by Methven-Taylor Funeral Home Anoka Chapel.

 

Rosalie Nelson

Funeral service for Rosalie J. Nelson (nee Birkel), 63, took place Feb. 27 at Kozlak-Radulovich Blaine Chapel.

Nelson died Feb. 21 after a battle with breast cancer.

She is survived by her sons, Sam (Janet) Nelson, Ben (Leah) Nelson; daughter, Sara (Jeff) Hansen; grandchildren, Ashlyn, Maxwell and Jovi; great-grandson, Jakob; and siblings, nieces and nephews and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Stan and Alice; and husband, Norm.

Arrangements were by Kozlak-Radulovich Blaine Chapel.

 

Jack Pokela

Memorial service for Jack E. Pokela, 76, Lakeville, formerly of Coon Rapids, took place March 5 at Washburn-McReavy Coon Rapids Chapel.

Pokela died Feb. 29. He was a U.S. Navy Korean War veteran, an ordained minister, a U.S. Postal Service employee for 28 years and an American Legion member.

He is survived by his children, Connie (David) Conrad, Darrin (Lori) Pokela and Sharla (Michael) Benson; grandchildren, Courtney, Mark, Samantha, Cody, Kaitlyn, Kristina and Callahan; sister, Janet (John) Perander; and many other family friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Martha Pokela; and brothers, Millard and Monte Pokela.

Interment was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Coon Rapids Chapel.

 

Kateri Prenosil

Funeral service for Kateri Tekva Prenosil, 19, Andover, took place March 7 at Church of St. Patrick of Cedar Creek, Cedar. Rev. David N. Blume officiated.

Prenosil died March 2. She was born June 24, 1992 in Minneapolis to Joseph Francis and Margaret MaryAnn (Fettes) Prenosil.

She is survived by her parents, Margaret and Joseph Prenosil; sisters, Peggy Ployhar, Missy Juncosa; brothers, Joseph Jr., Daniel, Robert, Nicholas, Trevor and Kevin; and primary caregiver, Cathy Cunningham.

Pallbearer were Juliann Boyun, Samantha Kisrow, Jaclyn Theisen, Cheri Sanislo, Paula Dwyer, Charlotte Raeker, Nichelle Dillon and Kristina Messner.

Interment was at Epiphany Cemetery, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Thurston-DeShaw Funeral Home, Andover.

 

Irene Theisen

Memorial service for Irene Margaret Theisen, 85, Anoka, took place March 5 at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka. Deacon Peter Bednarczyk officiated.

Theisen died Feb. 29 at Mercy Hospital. She was born May 3, 1926 in Foley to Frank and Regina (Brambrink) Wegman.

She is survived by her children, Darlene, Linda, Shirley, John, Debra, Jeannie, Jane, Pamela, Sandra, Donna and Patricia; 19 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Lucille, Dorothy, Elsie and Hilda.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert; granddaughter, Tammi; parents, Frank and Regina; and brothers, Hubert, Arthur, Roy and Raymond.

Interment was at Calvary Cemetery, Anoka. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.
