Jerome Boyce

Funeral service for Jerome “Jerry” Boyce, 75, Blaine, took place March 9 at Epiphany Catholic Church, Coon Rapids.

Boyce died March 4. He was a retired postal worker.

He is survived by his wife, Stephanie; sons, Matthew (Deanne), Christian (Susan); grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Elaine and Kay Boyce; and brother-in-law, Jerry Wright.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers; and twin sister.

Interment was at Epiphany Cemetery, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Coon Rapids Chapel.

 

Thomas Brancato

Funeral service for Thomas J. Bruncato, 61, Coon Rapids, took place March 8 at Washburn-McReavy Coon Rapids Chapel.

He is survived by his brothers, Steve and Tony (Stacie); sister, Pat Groess; niece, Bailey; nephews, Parker, Tim, Terry and Travis (Jenny); and great-nieces and great-nephews, Travis, Zachary and Taegen.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Eleanor; and sister, Linda.

Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Coon Rapids Chapel.

 

Robert Bruce

Funeral service for Robert Bruce, 63, Coon Rapids, took place Feb. 17 at Gearhart Funeral Home, Coon Rapids.

Bruce died Feb. 12 at Mercy Hospital. He was born March 31, 1948.

Interment was at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Gearhart Funeral Home, Coon Rapids.

 

Donald Earl

Funeral service for Donald J. Earl, 79, East Bethel, took place March 5 at Church of St. Patrick of Cedar Creek.

Earl died Feb. 28.

He is survived by his wife, Janice; children, Robert (Sharon) and Lynn Earl; brother, Richard Earl.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Horace and Delores.

Interment was at St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Arrangements were by Kozlak-Radulovich Blaine Chapel.

 

Bernard Engelhaupt

Funeral service for Bernard Leo Engelhaupt, 73, Anoka, took place March 12 at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, Anoka. Rev. Nathan Laliberte officiated.

Engelhaupt died March 7 at Twin Rivers Care Center, Anoka. He was born Dec. 19, 1938 in Spencer, Neb., to Ambrose Sylvester and Vera Lynn (Black) Engelhaupt and was retired from a bakery.

He is survived by his wife, Cecilia (nee Grosz); children, Christina (Wayne) Bouley, Bernard (Christina), Alvin (Janet), Gerald (Paula); 20 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; brothers, Theodore, Marvin, Albert and Joseph; and sisters, Audrey Way, Charolette Mills, Agnes Grosz, Rita Wehri, Josephine Stertz, Louise Light, Regina Mullaney, Dorothy Adams, Doris Engelhaupt and Bernice Traynor.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ambrose and Vera; brothers, Martin and Alvin; and great-granddaughter, Averie Pedersen.

Pallbearers were Stephen and Dean Engelhaupt, Joseph, Benny and Benjamin Grosz and Terry Holder.

Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.

 

William Erickson

Funeral service for William C. “Bill” Erickson, 66, formerly of Onamia, took place March 15 at Zion Lutheran Church, Anoka.

Erickson died March 7 following a 7½ year battle with cancer. He was born Feb. 10, 1946 to Helen and Ben Erickson on February 10, 1946. He graduated from Anoka High School in 1964 and was an owner and general manager of Erickson Metals of Minnesota, Coon Rapids, for over 25 years. He was also a marathon runner, participating in New York, Minneapolis, Chicago, Grandma’s and others.

He is survived by his wife, Barb; brothers, Bob (Bev), Dick (Sheri), Jim (Carole Paulson); sister-in-law, Audrey (Don) Ramsey; brother-in-law, Dave Ness; special uncle, Hartley Medin; cousin, Mike (MariAnne) Medin; family friend, Kathy Kaufman; and  many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Helen; nephews, Nick, Steve, Chris; and sister-in-law, Judie Ness.

Interment was private. Arrangements were by Methven-Taylor Funeral Home, Anoka.

 

Jonathan Kormanik

Memorial service for Jonathan Lewis Kormanik, 36, Andover, took place March 13 at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, Ramsey. Rev. Stephen Ganzkow-Wold officiated.

Kormanik died March 8 in Ham Lake. He was born April 5, 1975 in Coon Rapids to Ronald Andrew and Carol Ann (Tomczyk) Kormanik and was employed in machine maintenance.

He is survived by his parents, Ronald and Carol; sister, Christine (Christopher) Peterson; brother, Steven (Kimberly); nieces and nephews, Nicole, Dylan and William; and great-nephew, Joseph.

Arrangements were by Thurston-DeShaw Funeral Home, Andover.

 

Jacqueline Landborg

Funeral service Jacqueline “Jackie” Gale Landborg, 74, Ham Lake, took place March 9 at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church. East Bethel. Rev. Dan Nordin officiated.

Landborg died March 6 at Demar Assisted Living, Coon Rapids. She was born Jan. 17, 1938 at General Hospital in Minneapolis to Bernard and Gladys (Grue) Stevens.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald; son, Richard Landborg (Sandra Martin) of Wyoming; daughter, Penny Landborg-Crosson (Michael) of Wyoming; sister, Cory Ricker (Ron) of Sauk Rapids; grandson, Ryan Landborg (Laura) of Mora: great-grandchildren, Sennie and Joey; and by many other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers were Richard, Ryan, Dennis and Kenny Landborg, Michael Crosson and Dennis Peterson.

Interment was at the church cemetery. Arrangements were by Strike Funeral Home – Isanti Chapel.

 

Timothy McLennan

Celebration of life for Timothy M. McLennan, 53, took place March 8 at Washburn-McReavy Coon Rapids Chapel.

McLennan died March 3 in St. Paul.

He is survived by his children, Derek, Joshuah and Natasha; mother, Catherine; sisters, Connie, Kelly, Mary; brother, Michael; stepmother, Marne; and many relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, John; and grandmother, Ellen Bates.

Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Coon Rapids Chapel.

 

Nile Mealhouse

Memorial service for Nile “Dean” Mealhouse, 84, Elk River, will take place at a later date at Nowthen Alliance Church.

Mealhouse died March 4 in McAllen, Texas. He was born Sept. 17, 1927 in Garrison, Iowa, to Vernon and Mary Mealhouse. In World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy and was retired from the Anoka County Highway Department and before that was a home builder.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; children, Mary Erickson (Joel), Cindy Hultquist (Tim), Sherry Buttweiler (Rudy), Kevin Mealhouse (Claire); daughter-in-law, Carol; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son, Bob.

 

John Penner

Visitation for John Penner, 80, Blaine, took place March 6 at Kozlak-Radulovich Blaine Chapel.

Penner died March 2. He was born Nov. 13, 1931 in Winnipeg, Canada, and was retired from Atlas Painting.

He is survived by his wife, Joanne; daughter and son-in-law, LaRae and Tom Stout; granddaughter, Autumn Stout; two sisters; and one brother.

Arrangements were by Kozlak-Radulovich Blaine Chapel.

 

Charlene Schafer

Funeral service for Charlene Eleanor Schafer, 75, Las Vegas, Nev., formerly of Cambridge, took place March 15 at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, Anoka.

Schafer died March 2 at Sunrise Hospital, Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 28, 1936 in St. Cloud to Charles and Lena (Kraemer) Beack and was a retired drapery company seamstress.

She is survived by her husband, Ralph; children, Patricia (Bob) Skogquist, Michael (Carol), Debra (Ole) Walters, Mark (Dawn) and Bonnie (Jim Brown) Koosman; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Sharon Schuett

Memorial service for Sharon B. Schuett, 73, Spring Lake Park, took place March 6 at Kozlak-Radulovich Blaine Chapel.

Schuett died March 2.

She is survived by her children, Scott, Kevin (Michelle), Val (Tim) Ratcliff, Tami, Jodie Alberts, Junior (Sally), Darcie Hanna (Phil), Sherri and Maria; grandchildren, Lindsey (Steve), Taylor, Caden, Courtney, Patrick, Ryan, Krista, Alex, Graham, Libby, Tierney, Kelsey, Shane; siblings, Ralph (Mary Anne) Jackson, Yvonne Baker; many other relatives and friends.

Robert Selbitschka

Memorial service for Robert John Selbitschka, 65, Litchfield, took place March 9 at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka. Rev. Ed Rhodes officiated.

Selbitschka died March 4. He was born Jan. 28, 1947 in St. Paul to Adolph George and Lucille Mae (Witkowski) Selbitschka and was a meat packer.

He is survived by his brothers, James, Rita, Mary (Lyle), David (Nancy), John, Linda (Craig); and nephews, Scott Ruzin, Jeremy Crawford and Bob Wilm.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lucille and Adolph.

Jennifer Soukup

Memorial service for Jennifer A. Soukup, 38, Blaine, took place March 12 at Washburn-McReavy Coon Rapids Chapel.

She is survived by her son, Cody; parents, Dick and Kathy; brother, Kevin (Holly); and nieces, nephews and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents.

Franklin Storm

Funeral service for Franklin Roosevelt Storm, 78, Arden Hills, took place March 9 at Washburn-McReavy Coon Rapids Chapel.

Storm died March 4. He was born in Mitchell, S.D., served in the U.S. Air Force, was a retired hospital administrator and the former owner-operator of the Buena Vista Motel and Restaurant in Duluth.

He is survived by his wife, Eva (Gilles); sons, John, Thomas, Daniel and Robert; daughters, Debra, Rochelle, Lori, Cheryl and Terri; 22 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry; and sisters, Charlotte, Judy, Gloria and Joyce.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roosevelt and Helen; four brothers; and one sister.

Interment was at St. John’s Cemetery, Plum City, Wis. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Coon Rapids Chapel.

 

Ronald Wisdom

Memorial service Ronald V. Wisdom, 75, will take place Saturday, March 24, 1 p.m., at Wellington Ridge Apartments Community Room, Coon Rapids.

Wisdom died March 8. He was born June 28, 1936.

He is survived by his daughters, Theresa L. Pace, Shirley V. Latreille, Susan M. Boone and husband John, Sharon Dee Wisdom Whightman and husband Dan, Sandra L. Der and husband Gordy; and 15 grandchildren along with beloved pets.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother; mother; and son.
