A public information open house has been scheduled by Anoka County for the final year of construction on Main Street (County Road 14) from east of Crane Street in Coon Rapids to Ulysses Street in Blaine.
The open house will take place Thursday, March 22, 5 to 7 p.m., at The Harvest Grill, which is located in the new Bunker Hills Golf Course Clubhouse, 12800 Bunker Prairie Drive, Coon Rapids.
According to Kate Garwood, Anoka County multi-modal transportation manager, officials from the county and the construction company, C.S. McCrossan, will give an update on the project, describe what is ahead for the summer construction season and show plans and drawings for the road and the bridge overpass over the Burlington-Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) Railroad.
There will be a formal presentation on the project at 6 p.m., Garwood said.
“The final year of construction…is scheduled to be back in full swing by mid-March, weather depending,” she said.
With Main Street closed from Avocet Street to University Avenue – the segment from Foley Boulevard east to University Avenue -is being shut down today (Friday, March 16), the best way to get to the Harvest Grill is to take Foley from the south.
