Gustafson died March 26. He was born Feb. 28, 1930 in Worthington.

Funeral service for Jacob “Jake” Higgins, 26, Andover, took place April 2 at Gearhart Funeral Home, Coon Rapids.
Higgins died March 27. He was born June 21, 1985 in Minneapolis to Frank and Wanda Higgins and was a laborer.
He is survived by his parents, Wanda and Frank Higgins; sister, Melissa (Nick) Galbreath; nephews, Joshua and Jonathan Galbreath; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wayne and Diane Patchen, Ralph and Lorraine Higgins.

Funeral service for Marlene Joyce Katnis, 79, Anoka, took place March 27 at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, Anoka, Rev. Mike Van Sloun officiated.
Katnis died March 22. She was born March 13, 1933 in Barnum to William and Ina (Hendershot) Norman.
She is survived by her children, Susan (Robert) Davis, John (Shirley), Keith (Leanne), Colleen (Tom) Snyker, Jeff (Julie), Dennis and Tom; 18 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; brothers, Wallace (Beryl), Gary (Carol) and Ronald; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John; son, Dale; and siblings, Lester, William and Harold “Hooty” Norman.
Interment was at Calvary Cemetery, Anoka. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.
Funeral service for Mandy Edna Lundholm, 32, Blaine, took place April 5 at St. Mark Evangelical Lutheran Church, Circle Pines.
Lundholm died suddenly March 30. A 1997 Blaine High School graduate, she obtained her doctorate of pharmacy degree from the University of Minnesota Duluth in 2008.
She is survived by her parents, Don and Connie; brother, Dustin (significant other, Heather Larson); grandfather, Don Lundholm; godchildren, Sierra Hemmelgarn and Ava Klein; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Mona Lundholm and Viola Edna Rasmussen; grandfather, Glen Rasmussen; and cousins, Maggie Tusler and Adrian Rasmussen.
Pallbearers were Dustin Lundholm, Zach Dvorak, Chris and Brian Rasmussen, Russel Hemmelgarn and Jim Raskie. Honorary pallbearers was Dave Dvorak. Arrangements were by Methven-Taylor Funeral Home, Blaine.
Funeral service for Merle Aldor Mares, 94, Ramsey, took place March 29 at Church of St. Patrick of Cedar Creek, Oak Grove. Rev. David N. Blume officiated.
Mares died March 12 at Good Samaritan Care Center, Stillwater. He was born March 7, 1918 in Plummer to Joseph and Inga (Haaven) Mares and was retired from the city of Anoka Parks and Recreation Department.
He is survived by his nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey.

Mertens died March 21 at Medical Center One, Bismarck, N.D. He was born Sept. 8, 1975 in St. Paul to Dean and Kathy Louise (Haar) Bemis and was a carpenter.
He is survived by his fiancee, Lisa Niedzielski; children, Lucas and Alysa Mertens; parents, Kathy and Dean Bemis; sister, Julie Mertens; stepsisters, Lorie (John) Bemis, Wendy (Mark) Theuringer and Kristy (Bill) LaPlante; grandmother, Avis Haar; and many family and friends.

Midlo died unexpectedly at home March 27. He was born Nov. 21, 1990 in Coon Rapids to Michael and JaRae (Miller) Midlo. He graduated from St. Francis High School, class of 2009 and graduated with honors Dec. 16, 2011 as an EMT from Anoka-Ramsey Community College.
He is survived by his parents, Michael and JaRae Midlo of St. Francis; sisters, Angela Midlo of St. Francis, Teigan Midlo of Butte, Mont., Crystal Midlo and E.J. Beardsley of Cambridge; grandmother, Dorothy Midlo of Isanti; girlfriend, Heather Iskierka of St. Francis; and many other relatives and friends.

Ramacher died suddenly March 26 at Scottsdale Osborn Trauma Center, Ariz. She was born Feb. 28, 1941 in Rice Lake, Wis., to Florian and Lillian Saffert.
She is survived by her husband, Donald; daughter, Tamra (Scott) Millikan of Billings, Mont.; son, Tom (Edie) Ramacher of Cedar; sisters, Cheryl (Ron) Lang of Westminster, Colo., and Luanne (Greg) Hogan of St. Francis; brother, Dave (Kathy) Saffert of Eau Claire, Wisconsin; five grandchildren; and 26 nieces and nephews.

Reynolds died March 31. He was born June 22, 1921 in Andover.

Senkyr died March 24.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandra J. (Sandy) Callen; son-in-law, Bruce Callen; granddaughter, Jenna Callen and fiance Lucas Anderson; grandson, Michael Callen; sister, Mabel Skaff; special cousin, Rosaleen Petry; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph R. Senkyr; parents, Ned and Sadie Skaff; three brothers; and four sisters.

Funeral service for K. Benjamin Skurdal, 79, Williston, N.D., formerly of Anoka County, took place March 19 at Everson Funeral Home, Williston. Rev. Ron Dahle officiated. A memorial breakfast to celebrate his life will take place Saturday, April 14, 9 to 11 a.m., at Billy’s Bar, 214 Jackson St., Anoka.
Skurdal died March 14 of heart and respiratory failure. He served in the military during the Korean War and worked in land title insurance in Anoka County for over 50 years.
He is survived by his daughters, Leah Skurdal and her husband, Christopher Feider, and Mara Morgan; former wives, Sonja Skurdal and Jan Thomas; grandchildren, Nichole Ebert and her husband Steve, Carl Morgan, Andrea and Maria Feider; siblings, Gus, Ed, Emil, Carl, Myrtle Bar, Ruth Erlandsen; and 41 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; infant brothers, Oscar and Palmer; brothers, Sverre, Alvin and Ivar; and sisters, Evelyn and Lillian.
