Former Ham Lake woman pleads guilty to threatening man

A 34-year-old woman pleaded guilty March 26 in Anoka County District Court to a felony charge of terroristic threats, which stemmed from a Jan. 2 incident in Ham Lake.

Divina Marie Sulentich of St. Paul, formerly of Ham Lake, will be sentenced May 16. Another felony charge of second-degree assault will be dismissed.

According to the criminal complaint, police were called to the Ham Lake home where Sulentich was living at approximately 11 p.m. Jan. 2.

A man who also lived at the home told police that Sulentich scratched his face, broke their computer, cut the power cord of the computer with a knife and put the tip of the knife to him during an argument. He recorded the incident on his cell phone.

According to the complaint, authorities could hear Sulentich saying, “I swear I’ll kill you, I swear to God I don’t care.”

A knife was located in a sink within the residence.

Sulentich acknowledged having a knife during the argument, the complaint states.
