Ever wonder what area businesses do? Looking to promote a local business? The fifth annual St. Francis Area Chamber Business and Community Expo Saturday, April 21 gives the community a chance to visit local businesses in one spot.
The event will take place at St. Francis High School, 3325 Bridge St., from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is free, but donations for the North Anoka County Emergency Foodshelf and Clothing Closet (NACE) are encouraged.
While businesses and community groups have until April 13 to sign up, approximately 60 businesses and groups have already said they will be there.
During the expo, there will be demonstrations and local restaurants will be selling food items, said Janice Audette, chamber member.
Expo guests will be eligible for a grand prize winner of $500 in chamber cash, redeemable at participating St. Francis Area Chamber businesses as well as Mall of America coupon books, Nickelodeon Universe passes, gym memberships, golf, car care and massage packages and more.
Business and community members featured at the expo will also be eligible for a special drawing and prizes, including Twins tickets.
“It is a great opportunity to promote your business to hundreds of potential customers and network with other business owners,” Audette said.
“Help make the expo another great community event everyone will be talking about (by) signing up and promoting your business to local consumers and consider doing a demonstration.”
“Last year more than 700 people attended the expo and it gets bigger every year.”
