Bicycle safety helmets of all shades, shapes and sizes were ready and waiting Tuesday afternoon inside the Mark Stack Training Room at Blaine City Hall.
Outside, a line filled with parents and kids waited patiently for the doors to open for the year’s first helmet fitting and sales event, which is sponsored by Blaine’s Safety Services Division.
Safety service professionals from the Blaine Police Department and Spring Lake Park-Blaine-Mounds View (SBM) Fire Department were on hand to supervise the fitting process.
Bell-brand helmets are sold for $12 each. A second fitting is scheduled for Tuesday, May 8, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Blaine City Hall, 10891 Town Square Drive.
The spring event is open to the public and no appointments are necessary.
