The annual St. Francis Business and Community Expo continues to grow.
The St. Francis Area Chamber of Commerce event had approximately 63 businesses and community organizations with booths and it drew more than 500 people to the St. Francis High School.
“Our goal was to have 50 vendors,” said St. Francis Area Chamber President Joe Raus.
The rainy weather gave the event an opportunity to explore the booths, he said.
Using different recruitment methods, including social media, several new businesses have joined the chamber and had booths at the expo, Raus said.
Among the new vendors were Allstate Insurance and Fairview Clinic.
During the event, students of Ultimate Martial Arts of Ham Lake demonstrated what they are learning and several vendors gave their own product demonstrations.
Plans are already under way for next year’s expo.
The chamber will continue holding the expo, which is a great community event with a business focus, Raus said.
