Cub Pharmacy in Coon Rapids robbed

A Coon Rapids pharmacy was robbed Friday evening (April 27).

That evening shortly before 7:30 p.m. a lone white male walked up to the counter of the Cub Pharmacy, 2050 Northdale Blvd., and handed over a note demanding drugs.

The suspect threatened a gun, but none was seen, according to the Coon Rapids Police.

The employee handed over bottles of Fentanyl and Dilaudid (hydromorphone), both prescription pain relievers, that had been demanded.

The man was described as 5 feet 8 inches tall, thin build, clean shaven with blue eyes.

He was wearing a gray zip-up hoodie with a white button-up shirt underneath, black dress pants, black dress shoes and a white/tan hat.

Video surveillance in the store showed the male leaving the store at the north entrance, then walking south to the southwest parking lot where he is believed to left in a vehicle, according to the Coon Rapids Police report.
