Two charged in Andover burglary

A 30-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman were both charged April 9 in Anoka County District Court with one count of felony second-degree burglary for allegedly stealing from an Andover home.

Bradley Lucas Davis, 11121 Cottonwood St. N.W., Coon Rapids, and Paula Arlene Baker of Brook Park will both make their next court appearance May 9.

According to the criminal complaints, a homeowner on the 14500 block of Round Lake Boulevard in Andover called police April 7 to report a burglary. She interrupted the burglary and gave a vehicle description to police.

A short time later, another resident called to report that a vehicle was in her yard and two people were crouching behind it trying to hide. Anoka County Sheriff’s Office deputies later stopped the vehicle in Ham Lake, which was occupied by Baker and Davis, according to the complaint.

In post-Miranda statements, both allegedly admitted to entering the Andover home without permission and stealing clothes.

Davis alleged he had the garage door security code, which is how they got in the home.
