Coon Rapids Lion sponsoring night out at the ball park May 11

The Coon Rapids Lions Club is sponsoring a night at the ball park when the Minnesota Twins play the Toronto Blue Jays Friday, May 11 at Target Field.

The Lions have arranged for tickets to the game and a motor coach to take people.

The motor coach will be leaving the Coon Rapids VFW parking lot, 1919 Coon Rapids Blvd., at 5 p.m. and will return to the VFW immediately after the game is completed.

The evening of baseball costs $32 per person and covers the ticket for the game and the motor coach ride to and from Target Field.

Attendees will arrive in plenty of time to check out the ball park and its amenities prior to the first pitch at 7:10 p.m.

For more information or to purchase tickets, Lyle Goff via e-mail at gofflt@msn.com or by phone at 763-754-8921.

“Tickets are going fast so reserve your spot as soon as possible,” Goff said.

Since the club’s chartering in 1954, members of the Coon Rapids Lions have worked on a variety of projects in the local community.

The club is currently continuing to serve the community through its Recycle for Sight eyeglasses and hearing aids collections, community meal fund-raisers and other efforts.

The club meets the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Coon Rapids VFW.
