Memorial service for Terry John Aultman, 48, Coon Rapids, took place May 4 at Gearhart Funeral Home, Coon Rapids, and May 5 at Range Funeral Home, Virginia.

Aultman died April 29. He was born Dec. 13, 1963 in Grand Rapids.

Gordon Busitzky

Memorial service for Gordon “Gordy” Arthur Busitzky, 69, Anoka, took place May 4 at Grace Lutheran Church, Andover. Rev. Gene Heglund officiated.

Busitzky died April 28. He was born Oct. 11, 1942 in Hastings to Louis and Emma (Luhman) Busitzky. He was a longtime employee (retired) of Qwest Communication, formerly known as US West and Northwestern Bell.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce; sons, Rodney (Beth) of Virginia Beach, Va., Rick (Susana) of Lexington Park, Md., Quentin (Michelle) of Anoka and Quain (Shannon) of Anoka; brothers, Robert of Moyock, N.C., and Glen (Bev) of Golden Valley; sister, Donna (Lon) of Madison, Wis.; grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and special friends and neighbors, Larry and Cheryl Jacques.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, David and Roger.

Mary Cameron

Graveside service for Mary Belle Cameron, 92, Anoka, will take place Friday, May 18, 1 p.m., at Forest Hill Cemetery, Anoka.

Cameron died Dec. 31, 2011 at Anoka Care Center. She was born Nov. 8, 1919 in Pierpont, S.D., to George Alfred and Ruth Alfreida (Pederson) Cameron. She was a retired bookkeeper at Dayton’s, a Sunday School teacher at Zion Lutheran Church, Anoka, for more than 50 years and a member of the Anoka American Legion Auxiliary, Mercy Hospital Auxiliary, Eastern Star and Job’s Daughters.

She is survived by her siblings, Betty Gruye and Ralph (Jean) Cameron; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Bruce Cameron.

Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.

 

Norma Chounard

Funeral service for Norma Jeannien Chounard, 80, Coon Rapids, took place May 7 at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, Anoka. Revs. Mike Van Sloun and Ralph Talbot officiated.

Chounard died April 29 at Wedun Residential Hospice Home, Brooklyn Park. She was born Sept. 28, 1931 in St. Paul to Joseph and Nina (Hansen) Paul and was a retired quality control specialist at Federal Cartridge.

She is survived by her children, Joe (Beth), Rick (Sue), Jane (Peter) Schiller and Janet Chounard; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; siblings, Joan (Glen) Zettervall, Lois Holmbo, Jerry (Ginger) Paul, Bev (Kenny) Kobs and Nina (Denny) Ward; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard “Porky;” and daughter-in-law, Linda.

Pallbearers were Rick, Joe and Jessie Chounard, Peter and Joe Schiller, Brian Bunes and Brody Johnson.

Interment was at Calvary Cemetery, Anoka. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.

He is survived by his children, Linda Ayers, Jack, Diane (Peter) Coons, Keith, and Michael (Lisa); grandchildren, Eric Ayers, Michelle Ayers (Andy), Owen Colline, and Tobias Colline; siblings, Elvida, Carol (Richard “Dick”) Miller and Raymond (Sally); sisters-in-law, Mary Colline and Sharon “Shari” (Dan) Collins; brothers-in-law, Ralph Peterson, Duane “Bud” (Joan) Peterson, Donald (Sharon) Peterson; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois; brothers, Kenneth, Elwood and Harvey; and sister, Barbara Kober.

Jack Dorholt

Memorial service for Jack O. Dorholt, 78, Weslaco, Texas, took place May 10 at Washburn-McReavy Coon Rapids Chapel.

Dorholt died April 28. He was retired from the city of Coon Rapids.

He is survived by his son, Darrell Dorholt; daughter, Lori Dorholt (Kathy); wife, Virginia Dorholt; her children, Mark and Brenda; grandchildren, Shawn (Shawna) Dorholt, Jacklyn Christian (Jake), Derrick Dorholt (Sara); great-grandchildren, Taylor and Easton Christian, Shane and Dylan Dorholt; sister, Jean (Wally) Anderson; sisters-in-law, Carol Mae Sandstrom and Verla Olson; and many nieces and nephews.

Jeffrey Evangelist

Funeral service for Jeffrey Brian Evangelist, 46, Mounds View, took place May 2 at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, Anoka. Vicar Randy Stroming officiated.

Evangelist died April 29 at Unity Hospital. He was born Sept. 27, 1965 in Minneapolis to Arthur Joseph and Delores Clara (Grapentin) Evangelist and was a machinist.

He is survived by his mother, Dee; siblings, Scott (Cathy), Peggy Trippel, Lisa (Jim) Cowell, Gina (Brian) Estrem and Matthew; nieces and nephews; and fiancee, Heidi Bergman.

He was preceded in death by his father, Art.

Brian Foltz

Gathering of friends and family for Brian Kent Foltz, 48, Champlin, took place May 5 at Methven-Taylor Funeral Home, Anoka.

Foltz died May 2. He was born July 6, 1963 in Grand Haven, Mich.

He is survived by his wife, Kris; sons, Kenneth Kyle and Alec; mother, Gloria Foltz; brother, Mark (Lori); sister, Laura Foltz; and parents-in-law, Terry and Edarae Frifeldt.

Griffith died April 28.

Funeral service for Frances M. Hime, 84, Northeast Minneapolis, took place May 1 at Kozlak-Radulovich Blaine Chapel.

Hime died April 27.

She is survived by her sons, Donald (Anita) and Richard; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; and daughter, Diane.

Pauline Januszewski

She is survived by her children, Toni (Robert) Tilley, Scott (Kathryn) Taylor; grandchildren, Karen (Tom) Freer-Stutelberg, Amanda Taylor, Alex Taylor; great-grandchildren, Jacob and Max Stutelberg; nieces and nephews; and other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence; one sister; and three brothers.

Brian Lawrence 

Funeral service for Brian T. Lawrence, 61, Ham Lake, took place April 28 at Kozlak-Radulovich Blaine Chapel.

Lawrence died April 23 following a battle with pancreatic cancer on Monday, April 23. He was a member of the Majestic Oaks Men’s Club, 10.50 Group, for many years.

He is survived by wife, Maureen; children, Michelle (Nathaniel) Phillips, Thomas (Petra) Lawrence, Jodi (Jerry) Arguello and Jennifer Lawrence; grandchildren, Sophia Rose, Sylvia Fern, Brandon and Blake; mother, Lucille Lawrence; four sisters and five brothers; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded by his father, Howard Lawrence.

Vera Lundeen

Funeral service for Vera L. Lundeen, 91, Anoka, took place May 3 at Church of the Epiphany, Coon Rapids.

Lundeen died April 30 at Anoka Care Center. She was born April 14, 1921 in Jessie, N.D.

She is survived by her brothers, Jerry (Marge) and Darwin (Jan) Cunningham; sisters, Millie Ferrara and Shirley (Jack) Hall; children, Susan Lundeen Mathisen, Jeff (Mary), Mark, George (Donna), Ronald (Celeste), Marty (Carolyn) and Karl (Kristine); many grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Grace Lundeen.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lydia and Bernie Cunningham; husband, George (Bud); infant daughter, Rosemary; siblings, Harold and Charlotte Cunningham, Peggy Roy and Harriet Campbell.

Gary Mason 

Memorial service for Gary G. Mason, 66, Blaine, took place April 30 at Christ Lutheran Church, Blaine.

Mason died April 25 following a battle with cancer.

Soderstrom died May 3 at Twin Rivers Care Center, Anoka. He was born Oct. 8, 1917 in Minneapolis to Oscar W. and Sista (Erickson) Soderstrom and was a retired cabinet maker.

He is survived by his wife, Doris; daughter, Karen (Dave) Haugen; son, Donald (Linda); grandchildren, Dianna Bartels, Lorie (Leon) LeCuyer, John (Becky) Haugen, Paul (Julie) Haugen, Kris (Brian) McLaughlin and Rick (Deborah) Soderstrom; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
