Motorists using Main Street (125th Avenue) in Blaine will need to navigate a new series of traffic shifts starting Tuesday (May 15).
Traffic traveling eastbound on Main Street/125th Avenue between Ulysses Street and Jefferson Street will shift to the south side of the roadway on Tuesday, states an Anoka County Highway Department construction project update.
In addition, starting Wednesday (May 16) traffic traveling westbound on Main Street/125th Avenue between Ulysses Street and Jefferson will shift to the south side of the roadway.
These traffic shifts are necessary as crews begin work to reconstruct the north side of the roadway.
During construction, traffic will remain single-lane in each direction.
While access to local streets, businesses and schools will be maintained, however some access points will also shift during different construction phases.
Main Street/125th Avenue is closed to all traffic from Avocet Street to University Avenue; the intersections of Foley Boulevard and University Avenue at Main Street/125th Avenue will remain open.
Traffic will be single lane traffic in each direction.
