Vocal music studio offers recitals this weekend

Graduating high school seniors from the Judy Bender Vocal Studio will be featured soloists in vocal recitals at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, Ramsey, Sunday, May 20.

The first senior recital at 4 p.m. will showcase Kaynen Harris and Stephanie Larson of Coon Rapids High School, Haley Moser of St. Francis High School, Karina Radin of Wayzata High School and Maia Walter of Legacy Christian Academy.

At the 7 p.m. senior recital, performers are Taylor Plotz, Emily Ringold, Gianna Schiller and Emma Youngquist of Anoka High School and Elyssa Eull of St. Michael-Albertville High School.

There will be three additional recitals – Saturday, May 19 at 1 and 5 p.m. at Cedar Rock Church in Coon Rapids and 1 p.m. Sunday, May 20 at Lord of Life Lutheran Church.

Students in recital at Lord of Life May 20 at 1 p.m. are Lexi Bergevin, Leah Pickhardt and Breanna Kolasa of Anoka High School, Isaac Quick and Courtney Von Vett of Coon Rapids High School and Sabrina Flugel of St. Francis High School.

Performing May 19 at Cedar Rock Church at 1 p.m. are Grace Baldus of Anoka Middle School for the Arts, Taylor Bender and Megan Fischer of Oak View Middle School, Katylin Henslin and Catherine Swenson of Jackson Middle School, Madelyne Sorenson of VandenBerg Middle School in Elk River and Cali Weddle of Legacy Christian Academy.

In concert at 5 p.m. May 19 at Cedar Rock Church are Molly Hayes, Mikaela Moen, Kaelin Morse, Brianna LaZerte and Anna Ostendorf of Anoka High School.

Song repertoire includes the musical theater, opera, oratorio, art songs, folk songs, popular music and contemporary Christian music.

Accompanists for the recitals are Malcolm Anderson and Heather MacLaughlin.

The public is welcome to attend.
