Filings open for four Ramsey council positions

It time for potential Ramsey City Council members to throw their hats into the ring.

Filing starts May 22 for the Ward 2, Ward 4 and an at-large council seat as well as the mayor’s position, currently held by Bob Ramsey.

The Ward 2 seat is currently held by Colin McGlone, the Ward 4 seat by Sarah Strommen, who won a special election to finish out David Jeffrey’s term after he resigned, and the at-large seat is held by Jeff Wise.

Candidates will need to fill out an affidavit with the city clerk by June 5, 5 p.m., and pay the filing fee of $5.

Hopefully some smart professional people will step forward and run for Ramsey council, The city can’t afford too many more years of the current majority of four running the city. City employees are bailing out and getting jobs else where faster then lightning. Can you blame them with the council leadership (or lack of ) that we have?No business in their right mind would hire any of the gang of four, why are they running our city?
