A Level 3 sex offender is planning to move to St. Francis.
A public meeting will take place Wednesday, June 13, 6:30 p.m., at St. Francis Elementary School, 22919 St. Francis Blvd., for residents to learn more about Robert Lee Ziemann, 27.
Ziemann is expected to moving to the 230th Court neighborhood around June 15.
According to the St. Francis Police Department press release, Ziemann has a history of engaging in sexual contact, including fondling and penetration, with girls between the ages of seven-13. He was known to his victims.
Ziemann was sent to prison for seven years in 2005 on first- and third-degree criminal sexual conduct convictions for separate incidents, according to Anoka County District Court records.
He has completed his prison sentence and was released in February.
Because Level 3 sex offenders have a higher risk of re-offending, meetings take place to inform the community, according to St. Francis Police Chief Jeff Harapat.
Representatives from the Minnesota Department of Corrections, Anoka County Community Corrections and the St. Francis Police Department be at the meeting to answer questions.
