The city of Coon Rapids will be hosting its annual child safety camp Tuesday, July 24 and Wednesday, July 25.
The camp will address fire, water, electrical and home safety and there will be sessions on wheelchair awareness, drug awareness and the use of the 911 system.

The evening of July 25, 7 p.m., there will be a graduation ceremony for the participants at the Coon Rapids High School Auditorium.
The camp is limited to 180 children in Coon Rapids elementary schools who will be entering either the fourth- or fifth-grade in the fall of 2012.
The registration fee is $40 per student, which covers lunches (McDonalds one day and pizza the other day) and snacks for both days, transportation to and from the swimming pool plus a T-shirt and a hat.
There will be $15 scholarships available to 60 children who are recipients of the free or reduced lunch program.
