Theresa Arbogast

Funeral service for Theresa Mariana Arbogast, 86, Champlin, took place June 18 at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, Anoka. Rev. Kevin Magner officiated.

Arbogast died June 13. She was born Feb. 25, 1926 in Watkins to George and Mary (Theis) Asfeld.

She is survived by her children, Nancy, Mike, Todd, LeAnn and their spouses; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her nine brothers and sisters; mother and father; and husband, Bill.

Pallbearers were Brian and Stephen Zajonckowski, Clayton, Mathew and Quinton Jacobson and Dan Arbogast.

Interment was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.

 

Dolores Bauer

Funeral service for Dolores M. Bauer, 77, Spring Lake Park, took place June 18 at Gearhart Funeral Home, Coon Rapids.

Bauer died June 13. She was born Oct. 7, 1934 in Tracy.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Michael; children, Debbie (Brian) Kampsula, David (Lynne) McGovern, Sherri Tulp, Jackie McGovern, Michael (Cynthia) Bauer; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and brother, Ron (Joty) Pilaczynski.

She was preceded death by her parents, Walter and Bess.

Interment was at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Gearhart Funeral Home, Coon Rapids.

 

Mary Erickson

Funeral service for Mary J. Erickson, 79, Anoka, took place June 19 at Coon Rapids Evangelical Free Church.

She is survived her husband, Charles Erickson; sons, Steve and William; sister, Carol Ekle; brother, James Oleson and his wife Carol; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father; father-in-law, Charles Ekle; and nephew, Tom Ekle.

Interment was at Stanchfield Baptist Cemetery. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Coon Rapids Chapel.

 

Dale Howard

Funeral service for Dale Joseph Howard, 53, Andover, took place June 15 at St. Patrick of Cedar Creek Church, Oak Grove.

He is survived by his sons, Josh and Garrett; granddaughter, Avery; sister, Debbie (George) Marko, parents-in-law, Del and Mary Lou Novak; and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Kimberly, parents, Dale and Dorothy, brother, Bucky; and sister, Bunny.

Interment was private. Arrangements were by Kozlak-Radulovich Blaine Chapel.

 

Karen Klarkowski

Memorial service for Karen Klarkowski, 68, Columbia Heights, formerly of Coon Rapids, will take place tomorrow (Saturday, June 23), 2 p.m., with visitation one hour earlier at Washburn-McReavy Coon Rapids Chapel.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis; children, Chris and Shanna; grandchildren, Kyle, Jon, Josh, Jaimie, Brianna, Allie, Jarod and Trent; and great-grandson, Seth.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bobby, Scott, Barb and John.

Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Coon Rapids Chapel.

 

Waldo Lagred

Memorial service for Waldo J. Lagred, 76, Anoka, took place June 15 at Christ Lutheran Church, Blaine.

Lagred died June 11. He was born April 7, 1936 in Swift Falls.

Interment was at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Gearhart Funeral Home.

 

Lorraine Larson 

Memorial service for Lorraine J. (Lundeen) Larson, 77, Isanti, took place June 18 at Washburn-McReavy Coon Rapids Chapel.

She is survived by her husband, Walter; children, DeDe (Jeff) Nelson, Jim (Kari) Larson and Rick (Brenda) Larson; grandchildren, Andy, Marty, Dan, Kelsy, Clay, Stephanie and Michelle; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Larry (Connie) Lundeen; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Sylvia Crosby-Leach

Funeral service for Sylvia Ruth Crosby-Leach, 75, Fridley, took place June 19 at Messiah Lutheran Church, Mounds View.

Crosby-Leach died June 16. She was born July 6, 1936 in Minneapolis.

Interment was at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Gearhart Funeral Home, Coon Rapids.

 

Hazel Melander

Hazel P. Melander, 90, Coon Rapids, died June 14.

She served in the mission field at Kings Way Language Institute in McAllen, Texas, and traveled to Mexico multiple times with her missionary children. She was also involved at the Coon Rapids Senior Center for many years.

She is survived by her children, Danny, Bruce, Sharon, Ed, Rick and Patty; 16 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by Henry E. Melander.

Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Coon Rapids Chapel.

 

Thelma Owens

Funeral service for Thelma M. Owens, Coon Rapids, took place June 21 at Coon Rapids Baptist Church,

Owens died on June 15.

She is survived by her son, Michael; cousin, Mavis Greet of Cornwall, England; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sylvester.

Interment was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Arrangements were by Gearhart Anoka Funeral Home.

 

Ted Sahlin

Memorial service for Todd R. Sahlin, 56, Coon Rapids, took place June 19 at Eagle Brook Church, Spring Lake Park.

Sahlin died June 13.

He is survived by his wife, Lori; daughter, Kelly (David) Walton; son, Erik; mother, Hazel; sister, Peggy (Keith) Dahl; brothers, Glen (Marilyn) and Steve; and other family and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Chester.

Hector Sharbonno

Memorial service for Hector E. Sharbonno, 86, Coon Rapids, took place June 14 at Church of the Epiphany, Coon Rapids.

Sharbonno died June 11. He was born Nov. 30, 1925 in Wahkon.

Stout died June 11. He was born Oct. 27, 1924 in New Sharon, Iowa.

Craig Stromgren

Memorial service for Craig Stromgren, 58, St. Francis, took place June 19 at Washburn-McReavy Coon Rapids Chapel.

Stromgren died June 6.

He is survived by his sons, Nolan and McKay; father, Donald P. Stromgren; mother, Wanda L. Stromgren; sisters, Jennifer J. Johnson and Vicky Stromgren; special friends, Carl and Sue Hanson; Diane Stromgren; and many other relatives and friends.

Gloria Thirkels

Funeral service for Gloria Thirkels, 75, Coon Rapids, took place June 20 at Washburn-McReavy Coon Rapids Chapel.

Thirkels died June 9. She was born in Gary, Ind.

She is survived by her daughter, Anna Wood; grandchildren, Kenneth, Kiara and Kymberly; four great-grandchildren; sister, Ava Jackson; and close friend, Ann Zukowski.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John; and parents.
