Carolyn Allenson

Carolyn Allenson, 77, died June 19 in Anoka. She was born Jan . 23, 1935 in Oto, Iowa.

Interment was at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Gearhart Anoka Funeral Home.

 

Michael Berry

Funeral service for Michael William Berry, 37, Princeton, took place June 22 at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka. Rev. Jay Snyder officiated.

Berry was born March 29, 1975 in Minneapolis to Robert Willis and Constance Lorraine (nee Whitley) Berry and was a heavy equipment operator at Underground Piercing.

He is survived by his wife, Cathryn; sons, Robert (Samantha), Nicholas and Cadence; parents, Robert and Constance; brother, Christopher (Jessica); sister, Mahria (Jason) Wellman; grandmother, Margaret; nieces and nephews; and many other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Willis and Lorraine.

Interment was at Lakeview Cemetery, Nowthen. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.

 

Paula Brodin

Memorial service for Paula Philby Havill Szabla Brodin, 92, Brooklyn Center, will take place today (Friday, June 29), 11 a.m., at Washburn-McReavy Coon Rapids Chapel.

Brodin died June 18. She was born June 6, 1920.

She is survived by her daughters, Paulette (Dan) Campbell of Maricopa, Ariz., Jeanne (Carl) Aldridge of Brooklyn Park and Linda (Mark) Sims of North Royalton, Ohio; sister, Florence (Frank) Johnson; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Florence Havill; husband, Rodger Brodin; infant son, John Szabla; daughter, Wendy Arvon; granddaughter, Joanna Hirsch; and siblings, Patricia Tatro and Charles (Del) Havill Jr.

Arrangements are by Washburn-McReavy Coon Rapids Chapel.

 

Bernice Field

Memorial service for Bernice Marie Field, 83, Coon Rapids, took place June 25 at Faith Lutheran Church, Coon Rapids.

She is survived by her sons, Bruce (Susan) and Gregory; grandchildren, Kim, Kyle (Nicole), Katie and Kelly; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Mallori and Davis; sister, Gladys Enge; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James; brother, Roy Benson; and brother-in-law, Loren Enge.

Lorraine Fields

Funeral service for Lorraine Helen Fields, 88, Andover, took place June 25 at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, Anoka. Rev. Mike Van Sloun officiated.

Fields died June 18 at Epiphany Pines, Coon Rapids. She was born Jan. 8, 1924 in Anoka to Alfred and Susan (Egan) Livgard and farmed with her husband Ed at Ed Fields Vegetable Farm.

She is survived by her children, Jim, Jeanne (Bob) Cox, Marjorie (Richard) Boser, Gary (Diane), Michael (Sandra), Mary (John) Tregnor, John and Charles (Estele); 23 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed; grandson, John Stoll; and daughter-in-law, Sandra.

Pallbearers were David and Joel Pearson, Brian, Eric, Christopher, Jarid, Mark and John Fields and Diane and Blair Randall.

Interment was at Calvary Cemetery, Anoka. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.

 

Carol Habstritt

Funeral service for Carol E. Habstritt, 64, Brooklyn Park, took place June 21 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Brooklyn Park. Rev. Chad Brekke officiated.

Habstritt died June 17. She was born Feb. 13, 1948.

She is survived by her husband Richard; daughter, Heidi (Jonah) Weiss; son, Brett (Amy Tyson); brother, Kenneth; sisters, Barbara Vonderau, Elaine (Mike) Vining and Harriet; mother-in-law, Rosemary; and brother-in-law, Randy (Jeanne).

She was preceded in death by her parents, Nelson and Bernice Sundermeier; and father-in-law, Jerome Habstritt.

Honorary pallbearers were Tony, Courtney, Betsy and Nick Ruberto and Melissa Wones.

Patricia Janssen

Funeral service for Patricia M. Janssen, 70, Andover, took place June 21 at Church of the Epiphany, Coon Rapids.

She is survived by her children, Kim (Scott) Tulgren, Rochelle (Bruce) Falck, Chris Janssen, and Greg (Jennifer) Janssen; grandchildren, Erik and Kirsten Tulgren, Angela and Genni Falck, Mark Janssen, Dylan and Paige Janssen; great-granddaughter, Alexus; brothers and sisters; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Margaret Albrecht; and brother, Michael Albrecht.

Kathleen Johnson

Memorial service for Kathleen M. Johnson, 69, Coon Rapids, took place June 28 at Church of the Epiphany, Coon Rapids.

Johnson died June 22 in Robbinsdale. She was born Jan. 31, 1943 in Minneapolis.

Robert Kroska

Funeral service for Robert Paul Kroska, 30, Coon Rapids, took place June 26 at Church of St, Timothy, Blaine.

Kroska died unexpectedly June 21.

He is survived by his wife, Rachelle; son, Casey; another baby due; parents, Paul and Kathryn; brother, Dustin; sister, Wendy (Jake) Bloom; and nephews, Axel and Wade.

Timothy Mitchell

Gathering of family and friends of Timothy J. Mitchell, 72, St. Francis, took place June 22 at Methven-Taylor Funeral Home, Anoka.

He is survived by his children, Becky (Doug) Abing, Joe (Roberta) Mitchell, Kevin (Mary) Mitchell, Kelly (Jon) Garvey, Jeff (Charley) Mitchell; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Pat Schrader; and many relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, George; mother, Ruby; and brother, Craig.

Helen Mundorff

Funeral service for Helen Ann Mundorff, 81, Coon Rapids, formerly of Bemidji, took place June 21 at Washburn-McReavy Coon Rapids Chapel.

Mundorff died June 18.

She is survived by her husband, Marvin Mundorff; daughter, Trudy (Greg) Rasmus; stepdaughter, Krista (Vincent) Accardo; grandchildren, Aaron (Anna-Marie) Rasmus, Autumn (Andrew) Schinka, Anthony and Emily Accardo; and four great-grandchildren.

Interment was at Eagle Lake Cemetery. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Coon Rapids Chapel.

 

Betty Reinhart

Funeral service for Betty Lou Reinhart, 83, Anoka, will take place today (Friday, June 29), 11 a.m., to Zion Lutheran Church, Anoka. Rev. Mollie Dvorak officiated.

Reinhart died June 23 at Mercy Hospital. She was born Dec. 19, 1928 in Anoka to Jason and Pearl (Newlun) Melberg and was a retired health aide in the Anoka-Hennepin School District.

She is survived by her daughter, Sue (Richard) Coyle; granddaughters, Kimberly (Jeff) Kittock and Kari (BJ) Moran; great-grandchildren, Kaitlin, Jordan and Lauryn Kittock, Karisa, Ryley and McKenna Moran; sister-in-law, Joan Melberg; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; parents, Jason and Pearl Melberg; sister, June Schumann; and brothers, Delbert and William Melberg.

Pallbearers were Jordan Kittock, Ryley, Daniel, Michael and Martin Melberg and Timothy O’Donnell. Honorary pallbearers were Kaitlin and Lauryn Kittock and Karisa and McKenna Moran.

Interment was at Champlin Cemetery. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.

 

Lois Smith

Memorial service for Lois Elaine Smith, 86, Andover, took place June 23 at Cedar United Methodist Church. Rev. H. Grant Tanner officiated.

Smith died June 18 at Farmstead at Andover. She was born Jan. 21, 1926 in St. Paul to Theodore Christian and Edith Sylvia (Peters) Larson. She retired in 1993 from Unity Hospital, where she was an assistant medical records director and was a member of the Unity Hospital Quarter Century Club, Royal Neighbors of America, Andover Seniors and United Methodist Women.

She is survived by her husband, Leo; daughters, Shelly (Bob) Huber of Oak Grove, Sherry (Mike) Shelton of Clear Lake; grandsons, Anthony Huber, Tyler Huber and David Saterbak; and many other relatives and friends.

Interment was at Hillside Cemetery, Minneapolis. Arrangements were by Thurston-DeShaw Funeral Home, Andover.

 

Anne Stokke

Funeral service for Anne (Conley) Stokke, 80, Coon Rapids, took place June 22 at Church of the Epiphany, Coon Rapids.

Stokke died June 17.

She is survived by her daughter, Julie Stokke (Zeke), Sue Andersen; son, Tim (Lani); many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald; sons, Mark and John; and daughter, Mary.

Interment was at Epiphany Cemetery, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Coon Rapids Chapel.

 

Patricia Young

Funeral service for Patricia Ann Young, 87, Dayton, took place June 24 at Brooklyn Park Evangelical Lutheran Church. Rev. Dan Carlson officiated.

Young died June 19 at North Memorial Medical Center, Robbinsdale. She was born June 9, 1925 in Council Bluffs, Iowa, to John Francis and Ruth Elaine (Joba) Kopera and was a retired para-professional in the Osseo School District.

She is survived by her children, Roberta (Richard) Gladen, Renee (David) Thiele, Robert and Richard; significant other, Doug Hendrickson; grandchildren, Matthew Thiele, Edward Kurr, Alison Gabriel, Charles Thiede, Bobby Jo Boroussa, Cory Young, Mitchell Young; 17 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; and son, Randall.

Pallbearers were Matthew and Charles Thiele, Edward and Anthony Kurr, Alison Gabriel, Bobby Jo Boroussa and Cory and Mitchell Young.

Interment was at St. Fridolin’s Cemetery, Champlin. Arrangements were by Thurston-DeShaw Funeral Home, Andover.
