Flow rates at the Coon Rapids Dam were reported at 35,200 cfs June 29.

As a result, both Anoka County and the city of Champlin boat launches on the river remain temporarily closed.

According to a Three Rivers Park District press release, due to recent rains and elevated flow rates, safety buoys have again been washed away and will not be replaced until flow rates fall below 20,000 cfs.

The USGS predicts that the river flow rates are dropping slowly and are not expected to reach this level until possibly the week of July 9, but predictions change every day and are weather dependent, the press release states.
