Flow rates at the Coon Rapids Dam continue to exceed 20,000 cfs.
According to the Three Rivers Park District, which owns and operates the dam, due to the elevated flow rates, the safety buoys that were washed away are still not replaced and it will not be able to do so until flow rates fall below 20,000 cfs.
The park district hopes to be able to replace the buoys the week of July 16.
The Anoka County boat launch continues to be temporarily closed, but the city of Champlin has reopened its boat launch.
However, Champlin continues to request that boaters operate under a no-wake condition in consideration of high water levels and potential negative impacts on shoreline, the park district news release states.
