Kay Pavel has been named the assistant director of Anoka-Hennepin School District 11’s Communication and Public Relations Department.
Pavel replaces the former assistant director Brett Johnson, who left Anoka-Hennepin for a position with the Eastern Carver County School District.
Before joining Anoka-Hennepin, Pavel was a communication specialist for South Washington County Schools.
She produced print and electronic communications, including the district’s social media sites.
In addition, Pavel has worked as creative producer in both the web and video arenas for organizations across the Twin Cities.
She recently completed a master of arts degree in strategic communications at the University of Minnesota.
“I have a strong passion for education and believe my drive will bring the district to new heights,” Pavel said.
“I look forward to establishing a strong relationship with the Anoka-Hennepin community.”
Pavel began her duties late June. She resides in Coon Rapids.
