The program involves approximately 24 participants who meet the second Monday of each month at Blaine Courts to clip and send manufacturer coupons to overseas bases.

The coupons are made available to the men and women serving the country at base PX Stores in Japan and other overseas bases.

This group of seniors has been meeting since 2010 and has sent over 76,000 coupons to the troops.

Members of the Coon Rapids VFW Auxiliary visited Blaine Courts July 10 to thank the seniors for their work.

Contact Bernadette Staum at the Coon Rapids VFW for more information about the project.
