• Anoka Bucs (8-7 overall, 5-6 Metro Minny)

The Bucs lost twice to Forest Lake, 3-0 and 7-2, then dropped a 2-1 game to Blaine on July 15.

• Blaine Fusion (29-5 overall, 12-2 Metro Minny)

On the field, Blaine defeated St. Francis 8-3, Elk River 13-1 and Anoka 2-1 thanks to strong starts by Ryan Anderson, Nick Wilson and Brian Hodney. Off the field, the Fusion lost their appeal to the Minnesota Baseball Association board concerning eligibility of two players. Blaine has been disqualified from postseason play this season and the two players have been suspended for 12 months.

• Coon Rapids Redbirds (24-7 overall, 6-4 Metro Minny)

The Redbirds won a pair of non-league games last week, a 9-1 victory over Rosemount and a 3-0 victory over Prior Lake. Andrew Driessen pitched eight scoreless innings against Rosemount.

• East Bethel Bandits (9-17 overall, 2-11 Metro Minny)

The Bandits were rained out against Big Lake and lost a sectional game against the Albertville Villians 10-9. They pounded out 17 hits, including five doubles, in defeat.

• St. Francis Saints (15-11 overall, 4-6 Metro Minny)

The Saints started the week with the loss at Blaine, but rebounded to beat Big Lake 3-0 and Hamel 12-7. Travis Fisher struck out nine in 7.1 innings of shutout pitching against the White Caps.
