The festivities officially kicked off Friday afternoon (July 20) with a Minnesota Twins-led baseball clinic for six- to 16-year-olds. Booster Days concluded with fireworks Saturday evening (July 21).

In between was a parade, running competitions, musical entertainment, a tractor pull, car show, a royalty pageant, a firefighter’s dance and much more.

One of the new events was a 1K fun run/walk for kids. This activity drew 53 runners who ran in three heats, said run organizer Michelle Anderson. One heat featured nine- to 12-year-old kids, another had six- to eight-year-olds and the final heat had kids who are five years old or younger.

The 5K for adults and older kids had 103 participants, according to Anderson. The main sponsor of the running events was Flex Fitness. Boy Scout Troop 733 was the host and brought 25 volunteers.
