Metro Dentalcare has transitioned to electronic dental records (EDR) and digital radiology to improve the dental team’s access to information and allowing for easier patient assessment.
Now implemented throughout Metro Dentalcare’s more than 40 practices, including the Coon Rapids office at 13040 Riverdale Dr. N.W., these electronic tools offer immediate access to patient files, streamlining the dental care process.
“Ultimately, this new system better serves both our patients and dental care professionals by providing a convenient and reliable resource for information access,” said Dr. David Milbrath, founding owner of Metro Dentalcare.
“As Metro Dentalcare continues to grow, establishing a uniform system that can facilitate our expansion while maintaining a level of consistently high-quality service that can be delivered to our patients is the number one priority.”
The adoption of the new system keeps the practices synced and up-to-date with the most current dental technology, according to Milbrath.
An EDR, for example, allows Metro Dentalcare to share files more quickly with other internal practices, as well as with external specialists in order to best accommodate patient needs, Milbrath said.
Additionally, the conversion to digital X-ray provides practitioners and patients with instant visual explanations and comparisons of dental health records, helping dentists to better explain the state of their patient’s oral and dental health, he said.
