Warners’ Stellian Co. Inc., a family-owned appliance retailer, announced the August soft opening of its Coon Rapids showroom, its eighth location, and named Jeff Warner Jr. store manager of the location.
Warner Jr. is the son of Warners’ Stellian director of marketing, Jeff Warner Sr., and partner in the St. Paul-based company with his eight siblings.
Warner Jr. joined Warners’ Stellian as a full-time sales associate in 2003 and has been among the top-performing associates ever since.
As store manager, Warner Jr. will concentrate on offering the same product expertise and personalized attention on which Warners’ Stellian built its reputation, according to Carla Warner, partner and director of sales.
“Jeff is a great asset to Warners’ Stellian,” Carla Warner said.
“He’s a proven mentor to our new hires and his competitive spirit will ensure success in motivating his team to become the preferred appliance provider of Anoka County.”
Warner Jr. is among 10 third-generation Warners who work full-time for Warners’ Stellian and will be the first to directly lead a sales team.
“Jeff will incorporate our family culture and values into the new store. He’s eager to become involved in the Anoka County community,” Carla Warner said.
The Coon Rapids location is Warners’ Stellian’s first showroom in Anoka County.
The company already serves customers in the area, but based on the large, growing population (fourth largest in the state), it expects great potential for customer acquisition, according to Carla Warner.
Warners’ Stellian operates seven other retail locations, including St. Paul, Minneapolis, Edina, Apple Valley, Maple Grove, Woodbury and Rochester, the appliance retailer’s newest store, which opened in 2008.
The Coon Rapids store, located at the northeast corner of Round Lake Boulevard and Highway 10, is slated to soft open in August, with a grand opening scheduled for October.
“Coon Rapids was identified four years ago as a community we’d like to join, but we waited for the right location with the right lease and the right financial position for us,” said Jeff Warner Sr.
“We had some healthy years where we gained some market share based on our ability to meet the evolving needs of shoppers. And this growth through difficult economic times provided the boost necessary for our expansion.”
The expansion will create 10 full-time jobs, for which applications currently are being accepted.
Warners’ Stellian employs about 210 people, of which about 30 are Warner family members. It has been family owned and operated for more than 50 years.
