Pahl earns a top honor in U.S. Army

Sgt. Maj. Terry Pahl (retired), family law paralegal at the Coon Rapids-based Barna, Guzy & Steffen Ltd. law firm, was recently awarded one of the highest ranking ribbons/honors in the United States Army.

Pahl is the recipient of the Legion of Merit. This award is the seventh highest honor in the United States Army, above a Purple Heart, Bronze Star and Soldier’s Medal.

This honor recognizes his “exceptionally meritorious service in positions of increasing responsibility, culminating a 40-year career as the Command Paralegal Noncommissioned Officer, 214th Legal Operation Detachment, United States Reserve Legal Command.”

According to Toni Perrier, Barna, Guzy & Steffen Ltd., Pahl served his country with distinction and excellence and on retirement is recognized for the performance of duty that represents exemplary service in the finest traditions of the Army.

Pahl retired from the United States Army Reserves March 1.

He continues work as a paralegal in the civilian field as family law paralegal for the firm.

Pahl has more than 26 years of experience as a paralegal in the areas of civil litigation, workers compensation, child support and family law.
