The program drew 130 students signing on to keep their music skills sharp during vacation. The program ran from July 30 to Aug. 9.

Participants hailed from the district’s five high schools and six middle schools.

String teachers Ed Schaefle and Jesse Peterson headed the program with help, this year, from college interns Anna Olson and Colleen Schaefle, former program participants.

As a finale, the students performed a concert the evening of Aug. 9 at the school.
