A public open house meeting will be held Wednesday, Aug. 29 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Blaine City Hall, 10801 Town Square Drive N.E., Blaine, regarding improvements to University Avenue in Coon Rapids and Blaine.
Anoka County encourages the public attend the open house meeting regarding transportation improvements that will enhance mobility and safety on County State Aid Highway (CSAH) 51 (University Avenue).
The proposed improvements include the reconstruction of the two-lane roadway to a four-lane divided roadway, improvements to several intersections within the corridor and the construction of a pedestrian/bicycle trail.
The project area begins at CSAH 12 (109th Avenue) and ends just south of CSAH 14 (125th Avenue).
During the open house, the public will be able to view and discuss the project in an informal manner with county and city officials and the project consultant. Maps, drawings, and other pertinent information will be available for public inspection at the open house.
