Copper is stolen from college work site

Copper pipes and wire were reported stolen in a burglary at a building under construction at Anoka-Ramsey Community College over the weekend.

According to the Coon Rapids Police report, a clasp was pulled off a temporary door to a building under construction on the campus and a large amount of 20-foot copper pipes, copper flex piping and three- and four-strand copper wire was taken.

Victims were P&D Mechanical and Prairie Electric.
