Two adults and a young child are in the hospital after the vehicle they were in rolled over on Prairie Road in Andover Sunday evening (Aug. 26).
According to Cmdr. Paul Sommer of the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office, witnesses observed a vehicle heading south on Prairie Road at a high rate of speed, passing other cars. The vehicle rolled over north of Prairie Knoll Park and 148th Lane N.W. where the road curves.
A 27-year-old woman from Little Canada was driving the vehicle, which was also occupied by her 28-year-old boyfriend from Ramsey and her five-year-old daughter.
All three were transported to the Hennepin County Medical Center and are in serious condition, according to Sommer.
Sommer said the driver’s blood was legally drawn because of the accident, and toxicology reports and any legal steps are pending.
Prairie Road has a speed limit of 55 mph in this area. Sommer said it is a no passing zone.
