The Anoka-Hennepin Educational Foundation (AHEF) has moved to Anoka-Hennepin’s new Educational Service Center located at 2727 N. Ferry St. in Anoka.
AHEF is located at Door 1, on the west side of the building in Room 119.
A non-profit 501(c)3 organization, AHEF supports and enriches educational opportunities for Anoka-Hennepin students.
Talent development, college and career readiness and early childhood education are AHEF’s top strategic priorities.
As a part of its efforts to support Anoka-Hennepin educational programs, AHEF buys store cards/gift cards or certificates from vendors at a discount and sells them at the regular price for the item.
The money raised is divided in half, with half going to the designated school/organization and the other half going to AHEF.
AHEF uses its portion for grants requested by district staff.
AHEF continues to sell gift certificates on Mondays, Tuesday, Thursdays, and Fridays, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The office is closed on Wednesdays and certificates will not be available for sale.
“Sales are slower on Wednesdays, so it’s not cost effective to be open,” said Tess DeGeest, executive director of AHEF.
“During the holiday season when people begin to shop more and our sales increase, we’ll extend our hours to include Wednesdays.”
