The Coon Rapids Police Department and the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office are jointly investigating the disappearance of a 31-year-old Coon Rapids man last seen Aug. 25 at approximately noon.
He is identified as Alan Lyle Taylor, 31, 2234 130th Ave. N.W.
According to Cmdr. Paul Sommer, Anoka County Sheriff’s Office, Taylor was seen by neighbors getting into a white colored Pontiac passenger car. He was wearing red shorts and no shirt.
Taylor left his car at his residence and didn’t appear to make any preparations for a prolonged trip away from home, Sommer stated in a press release.
“Taylor has never just disappeared in the past and family members are gravely concerned for his safety,” he said.
At this point, the investigation has shown that there has been no activity on Taylor’s cell phone and none of his financial transaction cards have been used, according to Sommer.
Taylor, who has been known to go fishing in the Three Rivers Park District near the Coon Rapids Dam, had plans to begin school this week at Anoka Technical College and made family plans for the holiday weekend, Sommer stated in the press release.
Anyone who may have information about the whereabouts of Taylor is asked to call the Coon Rapids Police Department or the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office at 763-427-1212.
