A 55-year-old Blaine man was killed when his motorcycle crashed in Pine County Saturday afternoon (Sept. 8), according to authorities.
James Kline was on a leisure ride with other riders when his motorcycle apparently caught part of a ditch or curb and he lost control, according to Chief Deputy Scott Blackwell of the Pine County Sheriff’s Office. No other motorcycles went down.
Kline was on Cross Lake Road and just east of Pine City. Authorities were called to the scene at 3:24 p.m. Sept. 8.
Blackwell said there was no indication that Kline did anything wrong. He was not speeding and there was no indication that alcohol was involved.
Kline was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, according to Blackwell. He was taken to North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale and died Sunday.
