Abeler to host annual senior fair
State Rep. Jim Abeler is hosting his 14th annual Senior Fair on Wednesday, Sept. 19, 10 a.m. to noon, at the Anoka County Government Center’s first-floor atrium.
Abeler is pleased to again provide this opportunity for community building, he said.
“These fairs offer information and resources to seniors to help them stay in their own homes longer, find health care support, get meals delivered, find respite care for their caregiver and much more,” Abeler said.
“Our senior fairs also present citizens of all ages the chance to discover ways to use their talents and volunteer to help their neighbors.”
Attendees will learn more about services offered to seniors by Anoka County and the state of Minnesota, as well as have the opportunity to discuss the issues that are important to them.
All are welcome and encouraged to attend.
“Anoka County has a large population of seniors and the more we know about how to work together for our mutual benefit, the better it will be for all,” Abeler said.
