MetroNorth Chamber of Commerce will host a Succeeding in Sales and Social Media business development symposium Tuesday, Sept. 25, 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at Rasmussen College – Blaine Campus, 3629 95th Ave N.E.
The event is designed to help participants gain a wealth of knowledge in sales and social media, according to Lori Higgins, chamber president.
Jeff Ferrazzo will deliver the keynote address on engagement marketing, “How Business Wins in a Socially Connected World,” from 8:30 to 9:20 a.m.
The first of four breakout sessions runs from 9:30 to 10:20 a.m. Topics to choose from are “Social Media Marketing Made Simple” with Chris Prescott, “Supercharge Your Facebook Marketing” with Ferrazzo and “Online Video for Sales and Marketing” with Mark Mazur.
Topics available in breakout session B from 10:30 to 11:20 a.m. are “Facebook for Business” with Tena Pettis, “Power of Email Marketing” with Mary Albright and “Time Saving Apps for Entrepreneurs” with Mary Pokluda.
From 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. there will be lunch and a Microsoft store.
At 12:30 p.m. and continuing to 1:20 p.m. will be breakout session C featuring “Twitter/Blogging” with Nick Rosener, “Ten SEO Tips for Driving Traffic” with Andrea Douglas and “Fifty Sales Tips in 50 Minutes” with Scott Plum.
The final breakout session from 1:30 to 2:20 p.m. includes “LinkedIn” with Tena Pettis, “Conversion and the Art of Turning Traffic Into Clients” with Nick Rosner and “Without Words – Understanding Nonverbal Communication” with Stacey Okan.
The symposium will wrap up from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. with The Innovation Game, a facilitated exercise that will help participants build their own action plan from the sessions.
Early-bird rates through Sept. 16 are: half day – $39; full day – $59 (includes lunch). After Sept. 16 the half day rate is $49 and full day rate is $69 (includes lunch).
