The Panthers opened with a 1-0 Aug. 23 win against Concordia Academy-Roseville.

Then they took the field against a tough opponent for the opening game of the Minnesota Christian Athletic Association (MCAA) conference when they faced off with Bethany Academy Sept. 4.

That game ended in an overtime 1-1 tie with the Panthers’ only goal coming when Conner Newby scored on an assist from Danny Mooers.

Next, PACT traveled to Heritage Christian Academy Sept. 7 for its second MCAA conference game, but bowed to defeat in a 2-0 loss.

Hopes were renewed and spirits raised when the boys’ PACT team beat Metro United in a Sept. 8 non-conference homecoming game.

Mooers scored the only goal of that shut-out game and gave the Panthers a 1-0 win, upping their record to 2-1-1.
