Voting rights program offered

A program to help Coon Rapids seniors be informed and prepared voters at the Nov. 6 general election will be offered by Coon Rapids Senior Services.

Claire Wilson from the Minnesota Secretary of State’s Office will present a “Know Your Rights” talk Thursday, Sept. 20, noon, at the Coon Rapids Civic Center.

Wilson will speak about the two constitutional amendments on this year’s ballot, how they are worded and what they mean.

Other topics that Wilson will address include new state legislative district boundaries and new polling places.

There will be an opportunity to ask questions.

This is a non-partisan presentation for information only. Refreshments will be served.

The program is sponsored by Mary T. Inc.
