The second annual Park Patrons Picnic was a way for the Ramsey Park and Recreation Committee to thank the patrons of the Ramsey Event Series and the farmers market, said Mark Riverblood, parks and assistant public works superintendent.

Members of the commission served up brats, hot dogs, grilled corn and farm fresh watermelon as seven farmers market stands sold produce to the patrons.

With each $6 purchase, the patrons received a free dinner during the two-hour event.

The event also acknowledges the growers for their participation and service to the community, Riverblood said.
