County 4-H hosts its Family Farm Fest

Anoka County 4-H will host its eighth annual 4-H Family Farm Fest Sunday, Sept. 30 at Waldoch Farm Garden Center, 8194 Lake Drive, Lino Lakes, from noon to 4 p.m.

Families are invited to attend and learn about agriculture and the environment through a fun day on the farm.

Youth of all ages can take part in a wide variety of hands-on learning activities including making corn husk dolls, apple cidering, bunny booth and much more.

There will be Franny Farmer puppet show, all of the animals in the barns and a hayride around the farm, plus face painting, corn dig, hay bale tower, exploring soybeans, pumpkin painting, riding in a solar vehicle and many more educational interactive booths.

There is an admittance fee of $5 per person, children age two years and under get in free. Fee is payable on arrival.
