History came to life at the Wapiti Historical Rendezvous Sept. 21 through 23 at the Nowthen Threshing Show grounds.

The living history event was a re-enactment of early 1800s. It featured a variety of family fun, including demonstrations on blacksmithing, rope making, wool spinning, hide preparation, wood carving, frontier cooking, story telling and bead work.

There were also demonstrations on blackpowder, tomahawk throwing and leather craft.

Blackpowder, tomahawk and archery competitions also took place.
