A Spring Lake Park man was one of five people killed yesterday in a Minneapolis workplace shooting.
Keith Basinski, 50, a UPS driver, was killed by suspected gunman Andrew J. Engeldinger, 36, Minneapolis, a former employee, at Accent Signage Systems, 2322 Chestnut Ave. W.
In a press release, UPS’s Northern Plains District President Jill Schubert confirmed Basinski’s death.
“We are profoundly shocked and saddened over this tragic event involving our driver, Keith Basinski,” she said. “Our deepest sympathies go out to his family and the families of the other victims. We also pray for the full recovery of others injured in the shooting.
“Keith had been a part of our UPS family for 29 years and we are going to miss him very much. We are cooperating fully with authorities in their investigation.”
Also killed were Accent owner Reuven Rahamin, 61, and the suspected shooter, Engeldinger. The names of the other victims have not been released by authorities.
