An open computer lab is offered every Monday and Friday from 1 to 4 p.m. at Anoka County’s Rum River Library, 4201 Sixth Ave., Anoka.
People can access the mobile computer lab and Internet, tap into the Anoka County Library’s career resources and take advantage of hands-on assistance and instruction.
“Computer skills are key to getting and keeping good jobs these days,” said Anoka County Commissioner Dan Erhart. “I’m proof that you can never stop learning about the latest tools to communicate.”
Applying for jobs online is a requirement for many companies, according to Anoka County Library Board President Bob Thistle.
“Job applicants can take their time and get all the help they need when dropping in to use the open computer lab,” Thistle said.
Open computer lab is free to participants and there is no registration required.
The lab is presented by Anoka County Library in partnership with the Anoka County WorkForce Center and Metro North Adult Basic Education.
